Membership

Royal Perth’s vision is to be the first choice for an excellent golf club experience. The quality and condition of the golf course is first rate and in the Clubhouse, Royal Perth is one of the only golf clubs to offer breakfast and lunch daily as well as table service in the Member’s Lounge and on the famed Verandah.

However, what makes Royal Perth so special is the people and both Members and staff value the importance of having an enjoyable time whether that be on playing the golf course, socially in the clubhouse or both. The benefits of membership at Royal Perth go far beyond the course and the clubhouse, thanks to reciprocal and affiliate arrangements with other golf clubs within Australia and around the world. Royal Perth is also a member of Pacific Links International and the 1895 Club extending on an already impressive reciprocal club portfolio.

Whilst membership at Royal Perth can be seen as quite exclusive, the process of joining is not overly onerous. The Club has two application processes, the standard application process and an alternative application process.

  • The standard process requires that you have five current members of the Club, all of whom have been members for more than five years, to support your application.
  • The alternative process requires that you submit a current Police clearance, a letter of recommendation from another club at which you have been a member (not necessarily a golf or sporting club) and three written personal or professional references.

The process then involves the candidate attending a membership induction with the Vice President (or a nominated delegate) and golfing members must also participate in a playing/rules/etiquette session. New Member intakes usually occur on a monthly basis.

Once inducted, Members must abide by the Constitution, By-Laws and Policies of the Club.
