Archives & Heritage: Annual General Meetings

This document collates the text of all located newspaper articles published in Western Australia between 1896 (the first AGM) and 1941 relating to Annual General Meetings of the Perth Golf Club, and the Royal Perth Golf Club. It includes reports on AGMs of both the men’s and the women’s clubs.

These articles—many of them independently reported by journalists—provide an important additional account of the AGMs from that provided by official minutes. The original minutes of some of these AGMs have been lost, and these are the only surviving accounts.

No reports have been located from some years, and in other years several reports—often highlighting quite different matters—have been included. Reporting of the Club’s AGMs occurred far less frequently after the War.
