Mr. A. G. Lovell has presented to the Perth Golf Club a handsome cup to be competed for by mixed foursomes on September 27. The cup will be used in much the same way as, for instance, the Bedford Cup. and the names of the winners will be inscribed upon it each year, the vessel itself bring retained for 12 months by the winning lady. Supplementary to this the club will also give a trophy, to be retained by the winners.<\/p>\n

The Lovell Cup was given without condition, but the committee felt that Mrs Lovell had played so prominent a part in ladies’ golf that it should be applied in the way indicated.<\/p>\n
