Dress Code

All Members, Associates and visitors are required to abide by the following minimum dress standards. It is the responsibility of club members to ensure their guests are aware of dress regulations and abide by them.

Members

Members

GOLF ATTIRE ON THE COURSE, AT PRACTICE AREAS AND SURROUNDS

• Shirts must have collars and all shirts must be neatly tucked in at the waist. Knitted turtle / roll neck style jumpers and tops are acceptable golf attire
• Trousers and shorts must be tailored and worn with a belt, when provided with belt loops.  Elasticized, draw-string, or cargo style pants and three quarter length pants are not acceptable.
• Players in shorts must wear white socks which cover the ankle. Socks with the Royal Perth Golf Club logo or affiliated club logos are acceptable. Secret / hidden socks may not be worn.
• Golf shoes are to be worn on the course.

On the Verandah, in Grumble Gully and in the Casual Bar

• Golf attire as described above is acceptable.

Members - Main Lounge and Dining Room

• Jackets and ties are not essential, except for formal and nominated events
• Neat, casual attire consisting of tailored trousers, dress shoes and fully buttoned shirts tucked into trousers with collars are required
• Knitted turtle / roll neck style jumpers or tops are acceptable
• Clean golf attire with dress shoes may be worn to gain access to the Lounge Bar, Grumble Gully and Locker Room

The following items are not permitted at Royal Perth Golf Club at any time

• Jeans or denim trousers, denim shorts, denim shirts, denim coats or denim jackets of any color
• Tracksuits 
• Cargo style shorts or trousers
• Any shirt with bold advertising, logos or screen printing
• Thongs, runners, sandals, tennis shoes, joggers or shoes without socks
• Singlets or shirts without a fold down collar worn outside of trousers or with sleeves rolled up

Associates

GOLF ATTIRE ON THE COURSE, AT PRACTICE AREAS AND SURROUNDS

• Skirts, tailored shorts, tailored mid-calf pants and tailored slacks are required
• Shirts must have collars and turtle / crew / roll neck shirts are acceptable
• Tailored, fitted shirts may be worn outside provided they are not longer than mid hip length
• Golf shoes are to be worn on the course.

Golf attire may be worn in these areas on any day.

Associates - Clubhouse, Lounge and Dining Room

• Clean golf attire with dress shoes may be worn until 4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Denim is not permitted at any time
• Golf shoes are not permitted at any time

A comprehensive dress requirements for Associates is posted in the locker room and the committee will update as fashion dictates.

Members and Associates wishing to acces the Office, Pro-shop, Locker rooms, or buggy sheds for a short period of time (ie 5 to 10 minutes) are not required to strictly follow the dress code as detailed above.  However, boardshorts, thongs, surf shirts and singlets are still not acceptable forms of dress anywhere within the boundary of RPGC. This dispensation does not at any time extend to the Gully, Casual Bar, Main Lounge, Dining Room or Verandah.
